一、活动目的：
早春三月，草长鹰飞间，冬天的寒意还未褪尽，春天带着绿色的气息向我们走来，3月12日是一年一度的植树节，为激发学生的爱护植物、保护生态环境的意识，中队组织开展形式多样的爱绿护绿行动，做到人人参与，宣传与实际行动相结合，让少先队员在活动中体验成功的快乐，以达到为教室、为学校、为社会增添绿色，净化、美化环境的目的.
二、行动口号：行动起来，争做护绿小使者。
三、活动时间：xx.3.2——xx.3.18
四、参加对象：全体少先队员
五、活动内容：
(一)播种行动：利用午谈课及校园网向学生发布活动通知
(二)实施行动：
1、我为班级添绿：学生自愿带绿色植物进班级，进行养护，为班级增添一份绿色。
2、我为校添绿：爱护环境卫生，不乱抛垃圾，爱护学校的花草树木，不随便踩草地。每班每天做好班级及公共区的卫生工作。各中队可以成立添绿小队，开展拣垃圾、落叶、擦花坛、养护绿化(清理垃圾)等活动。
3、我为家庭添绿：在自家房前屋后或家里栽种一些小树木，养殖一些小盆景。
(三)主题活动：
开展以“植树节”为主题的手抄报活动，内容以关于“植树节的来历”、“植树与环保”、“有关植树节的活动”为主，要结合环境保护教育，大队将会进行优秀作品展览。
1、3月17日班队课，全校以中队为单位，围绕“植树节”开展主题班会活动，主题自定，形式可以是讨论交流、专题讲座、演讲、观看专题影片等。活动要求：各中队要上交主题班会的活动设计，利用好40分钟，确保每位少先队员从中得到环境保护的教育，增强环保意识。并将主题班会班会的活动设计上传至少先队ftp。
2、我给小树写写诗，结合植树节各项活动，写几首儿童诗.
3、“我知道……”植物生长知识交流会：队员们收集有关植物生长知识，在十分钟午谈课上交流、宣传;
(四)表彰先进，评选“绿色环保小卫士”。
评选出3名在本次活动中表现突出且在日常生活中积极参与环保活动同学，学校将授予他们“绿色环保小卫士”光荣称号。
the first arbor day took place on april 10, 1872 in nebraska. it was the brainchild of julius sterling morton (1832-1902), a nebraska journalist and politician originally from michigan. throughout his long and productive career, morton worked to improve agricultural techniques in his adopted state and throughout the united states when he served as president grover cleveland‘s secretary of agriculture. but his most important legacy is arbor day.
morton (photo, right) felt that nebraska‘s landscape and economy would benefit from the wide-scale planting of trees. he set an example himself planting orchards, shade trees and wind breaks on his own farm and he urged his neighbours to follow suit. morton‘s real opportunity, though, arrived when he became a member of nebraska‘s state board of agriculture. he proposed that a special day be set aside dedicated to tree planting and increasing awareness of the importance of trees. nebraska‘s first arbor day was an amazing success. more than one million trees were planted. a second arbor day took place in 1884 and the young state made it an annual legal holiday in 1885, using april 22nd to coincide with morton‘s birthday.
in the years following that first arbor day, morton‘s idea spread beyond nebraska with kansas, tennessee, minnesota and ohio all proclaiming their own arbor days. today all 50 states celebrate arbor day although the dates may vary in keeping with the local climate. (state arbor days) at the federal level, in 1970, president richard nixon proclaimed the last friday in april as national arbor day. arbor day is also now celebrated in other countries including australia. variations are celebrated as ‘greening week‘ of japan, ‘the new year‘s days of trees‘ in israel, ‘the tree-loving week‘ of korea, ‘the reforestation week‘ of yugoslavia, ‘the students‘ afforestation day‘ of iceland and ‘the national festival of tree planting‘ in india. julius sterling morton would be proud. sometimes one good idea can make a real difference.
for the homeowner, arbor day is an excellent opportunity to take stock of the trees on your property and plan for the future. inspect your trees. note any broken branches or evidence of disease or insect infestation. think about how planting new trees might improve the look of your property or provide wind or heat protection. take a trip to your local nursery to see what‘s available and to get new ideas. walk around your neighbourhood. are there any public areas where tree planting or tree maintenance might make a real difference to your community? talk with your neighbours. find out what their opinions are. and, oh yes, plant a tree.

中国的植树节，因时代的演变，先后作了三次改定。
孙中山是中国近代史上最早意识到森林的重要意义和倡导植树造林的人。辛亥革命后，民国4年(19xx年)，在孙中山的倡议下，由农商部总长周自齐呈准大总统，以每年清明节为植树节，指定地点，选择树种，全国各级政府、机关、学校如期参加，举行植树节典礼并从事植树。
经当年7月21日批准后，通令全国如期遵照办理。
民国17年(1928年)北伐完成后，4月7日由******政府通令全国：嗣后旧历清明植树节应改为总理逝世纪念植树式，民国18年(1929年)2月9日农矿部又以部令公布《总理逝世纪念植树式各省植树暂行条例》16条。而国民政府行政院农矿部长易培基遵照孙中山先生遗训，积极提倡造林，于民国19年(1930年)2月呈准行政院及国民政府，自3月9日至15日一周间为造林运动宣传周，于12日孙中山先生逝世纪念日举行植树式。北方地区以3月初旬，寒气未消，还不适于栽树之故，特规定植树式仍于3月12日举行外，造林宣传运动周延至清明节行之。并由该部公布《各省各特别市各县造林运动宣传周办大纲》7条，以便全国照办。
中华人民共和国成立后，1979年2月在第五届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第六次会议上，林业总局局长罗玉川提请审议《森林法(试行草案)》和对决定以每年3月12日为我国植树节进行说明后，大会予以通过。1981年12月13日，五届全国人大四次会议讨论通过了《关于开展全民义务植树运动的决议》。从此，全民义务植树运动作为一项法律开始在全国实施。次年，国务院颁布了《关于开展全民义务植树运动的实施办法》。
我国幅员辽阔，气候差异较大，各地适合植树的时间也不相同。因此，许多省市还规定了自己的植树日、植树周、植树月。
